Dooars Tour : 3N 4D with Rishyap

Dooars Rishyap Tour Package covers Jungle Safari at Lataguri, 1N at Jhandi, 1 Night at Rishyop, samsing, sunthalekhola, Jhalong, Bindu, Murtii, Lava, Lolegaon, Rishyap and Dello. 

 Day 1:: NJP/Bagdogra/Mal Junction to Lataguri


Upon arrival at the railway station/airport, you are received and driven to your hotel/resort at Lataguri. This place is close to the Garumara National Park. We prefer to put up our guests in hotels/resorts which give you a feeling of being either in the forest or in a tea garden. Late in the afternoon, we take you to get a feel of the Forest. 

Depending upon the availability of tickets/entry passes, we would take you to any one of the following watchtowers at: Jatraprasad (Evening trip accompanied with tribal dance) Medla Chukchuki, or Jungle Safari which includes a visit to the Mahakal water reservoir.

Day 2: : Excursion to Murti, Jhalong and Bindu. O/N at Jhandi


Today we would take you for an excursion to Murti, Jhalong and Bindu. Murti is a small village by the side of the Murti River. It is an ideal picnic spot where one can enjoy the scenic beauty. Lucky ones can even catch a glimpse of elephants and other animals by the side of Murti River when they come to drink water.

Jhalong is situated on the bank of the river Jaldhaka on the Indo-Bhutan border. It lies at the foothills of the Himalayas, on the way to Bindu in Kalimpong sub-division. Jaldhaka Hydro Electricity Project on Jaldhaka River is a major attraction in this area. Bird lovers can enjoy a varied collection of hill birds as well as migratory water fowls here. Bindu is the last village of West Bengal before one enters Bhutan. It is a beautiful valley on the bank of the river Jaladhaka. This river serves as a natural physical boundary separating West Bengal and Bhutan. 

Bindu is also famous for its cardamom plantations. Visit to this place is an experience worth remembering. Return in the afternoon and visit the "Nature Interpretation Center", which gives information about the flora and fauna of the Dooars area. 

After the excursion, leave for Jhandi. It takes areound around 2 hour reach

Day 3: : Excursion to Lava, Lolegaon and O/N at Rishyap 


Dooars Lolegaon Tour Package or Dooars Lava Tour Package covers Lava, Lolegaon and Rishyap. 

After Breakfast, leave for Lolegaon, Lava Sightseeing and overnight stay at Rishyap. Loleygaon: At an altitude of 1675m above sea level and located at the extreme end of the Himalayan ridge, Loleygaon (also spelt 

(Lolaegaon or Lolegaon) is a small Lepcha village with a population of about 5000. It is known for its dense forests, scenic beauty, sunrise and sunset. A stay at Loleygaon is a lovely detox for the mind and the body, breathing in pure fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Here you simply wonder what to do….. 

Loleygaon along with Lava is one of the most popular tourist destinations and hill station for the tourists from all over the world. The sunrise and sunset over the mighty Kanchenjunga viewed from Jhandi Dara is worth mentioning. Visit the 180 meters Canopy Walk on the hanging bridge, the Heritage Forest Canopy Walk and the Buddha Statue on your own. You can also Luch at Lolegaon in some hotel. Post Lunch, start our journey to Rishyap. The road to Rishyap passes through the town of Lava.

Lava: Situated at an altitude of 7,016 feet (2,138 m), Lava is a small hamlet 34 kilometres east of the town of Kalimpong via Algarah in Kalimpong district. It is one of the few places in West Bengal to receive snow in winter. The route to Lava is scenic with the change in vegetation from tropical deciduous to the wet alpine trees of fir, pine and birch. Lava is also famous for the Kagyu Thekchen Ling monastery, more commonly called the Lava monastery. Visit the Lava monastery and thereafter proceed to Rishyap for overnight stay. There is a motorable road of 11kms and also a trekking trail of 4kms from Lava to reach Rishyap. 

Rishyap: Rishyap actually forms an integral part of the well-known Neora Valley at the foothills of Tiffin Dara. Although it's a relatively new tourist destination compared to several others in the vicinity, it is still a virgin spot clothed in forests of pine, birch, fir, colourful rhododendrons and orchids with a wonderful view of the entire Kanchenjunga massif and many other Himalayan snow peaks. And this is exactly what the name 'Rishyap' stands for - 'Mountain Peaks and Forests'. During the night, a look across the mountains beholds an amazing ethereal sight of the sparkling and twinking lights of Gangtok and the small town of Pedong. 

Check-in to the Hotel by late afternoon / evening. Overnight stay would be at Rishyap.

Day 4 : : Excursion to Dello and transfer to NJP

After Breakfast, enjoy the time at leisure at Rishyap. At appropriate time, check out from the hotel and visit Dello enroute to NJP. 

Dello: Dello, also known as Deolo or Deolo Hill, is a large plateau with landscaped open lawns and pine and conifers around its edges and a beautiful well maintained lawn and garden. At a height of 1914m and only 6km away from Kalimpong, Dello is a perfect getaway amidst the majestic mountains for tourists who can enjoy the picturesque landscape overlooking the Teesta valley from the edge of a ridge. 

 The sight of the beautiful meandering Teesta, the Teesta Valley on one side, the Sikkim hills on the other and the Kalimpong town itself with the Kanchendzonga above, all in a single picture frame presents an picturesque setting. Have lunch at a wayside inn (Own Cost) and thereafter, drop to airport/railway station for onward journey. Your Neora Valley sojourn ends with sweet memories of the Forests, the Hills and the Tea Gardens.
